Admiral's Challenge: Venezia to Lošinj
Elevate your sailing prowess on our exclusive 7-day advanced course, with three days exploring the unparalleled charm of old Venice, culminating in direct participation in L'Ammiraglia, the prestigious "Admiral's Race" uniting the Italian and Croatian Adriatic coasts.
Our journey begins on June 30th in front of a 2,000-year-old amphitheater in Pula with an offshore transfer
towards the historic city of Venice. We will stay in the very heart of Venice — in the
historic Arsenale — less than 1 km from Piazza San Marco & Palazzo Ducale. This grants you
three full days to immerse yourself in the unparalleled charm of old Venice, exploring its
canals, culture, and cuisine.
On July 3rd, we experience the thrill as L'Ammiraglia regatta kicks off with a challenging night navigation leg towards Pula. Named in honor of Admiral Agostino “Tino” Straulino (born in Mali Lošinj), this regatta embodies leadership, challenge, and the spirit of offshore excellence.
After a well-deserved rest and celebration in Pula, the second regatta leg commences the next day, taking you from Pula to the picturesque island of Lošinj where we will cross the finish line in harbor of Mali Lošinj, with prize-giving ceremony and celebration awaiting you.
The sailing course concludes on July 6th with a triumphant return to Pula, enriched with new skills, unforgettable memories, and the prestige of having raced L'Ammiraglia. This is more than a course; it's your chance to become part of an Adriatic sailing legacy.
Veruda Sailing School has a proven track record in demanding offshore conditions, having recently successfully completed the non-stop offshore (400 NM) Pula-Palagruža-Pula and having raced as doublehanded in a 500 NM La Cinquecento regatta — both advanced sailing courses. The school also boasts numerous regatta victories (1st place in group in prestigious Argonaut cup, in 2023. & 2024.), including successes in offshore races (1st place in group in Pesaro-Pula in 2024.), demonstrating our expertise and commitment to excellence in competitive sailing.
